I Quit Daily Instagram Posts: My YouTube-to-Email Strategy

June 11, 20254 min read

Have you ever looked at business owners who post every other day and wondered how they manage to make a lot of sales? You are not alone! When it comes to making sales, many sales experts hammer on how important consistency is. After all, the more you post about your services or products, the more interest you pique, right? Wrong.

Posting every day doesn't guarantee that you will make sales. In fact, if anything, you might quickly find yourself burnt out from all the effort with little to no conversions to show for it.

If this is you, this article is precisely what you need. In this guide, we explore why you don’t need to post every day to get leads and what you can do instead.

Why I Stopped Posting Every Day

Showing up is vital in business. Consistently showing up is a great way to market your products while subtly telling your prospective clients, “Hey! I’m still here, ready to serve you.” However, showing up consistently doesn't mean posting on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or any other platform every day.

For the longest time, I used to post on my business page every day. This seemed easy at the beginning, until I began to feel burnt out and frustrated with the cycle. The process of coming up with limitless content ideas to ensure I never ran out of things to post, the constant pressure to create content, and the need to keep up with the ever-changing algorithms left me drained. The worst part? Despite the time and energy invested, the leads and sales I was getting felt minimal and unsustainable.

The emotional, physical, and creative fatigue pushed me to discover better ways to remain consistent without spreading myself thin. This is when I decided to switch from posting every day to choosing a more intentional content schedule. Not only did this reignite my passion for my business and content creation, but it also eliminated my exhaustion and left me feeling energized enough to focus on other important aspects of my business.

What I Do Instead: My Weekly Content System

Instead of struggling with the constant pressure to stay relevant by spamming posts, I focused on building a strategy that works. The best part is you can too! All you need to do is create a weekly content system.

1. Upload one YouTube video per week. With this video, focus on delivering rich, valuable content.

2. Write a blog post centered around the YouTube video topic. Ensure the post is packed with actionable insights and SEO-optimized

3. Embed your YouTube video in your blog post. This is subtly pushing your content out and giving your audience multiple channels through which they can consume your content

4. Send an intimate, soulful, and heartfelt email to your email list. This email should act as a means of catching up with them to foster a connection while also promoting your blog post and video.

5. Who says Pinterest is out of style? About 570 million people use Pinterest monthly. Use this to your advantage and create Pinterest pins that link back to the blog post. This will help you expand your reach organically.

This content system provides value in multiple formats and helps you cater to your audience through whichever channel they prefer. Most importantly, it enables you to break free from the shackles of constantly trying to create new content.

Of course, this weekly content system isn't a hard and fast rule that you have to follow. You can tweak the system to suit your schedule and the type of value you provide.

Did This Work For Me?

The short answer is yes. Since making this shift, I’ve seen tangible growth in leads and engagement. I have also seen improvements in my attitude towards pushing out content for my brand. In the past, posting every day wasn’t aligned with my strengths or what brought me joy. However, with this system, I’m no longer burnt out, and once again I find content creation interesting.

If you’re feeling burnt out by daily content creation, it is vital to strike a balance. With this strategy, you will not only find marketing less exhausting but also notice a steady increase in engagement, audience interaction, and, of course, conversion rates.
